SaaS

Most subscription churn is a failed card, not a cancelled plan

Involuntary churn is the quietest revenue leak in SaaS. The customer still wants the product. Their card expired, their bank declined a recurring debit, and nobody found out until the renewal report.

The problem

What breaks in saas

Involuntary churn

Expired cards and intermittent declines cancel subscriptions that the customer never intended to cancel.

Mandate friction

Indian recurring payment rules require explicit mandates and pre-debit notification, which adds steps most global billing stacks do not handle natively.

Revenue reconciliation

Finance needs collected revenue to reconcile against invoiced revenue, per plan, per period, without a manual join.

Upgrades mid-cycle

Proration creates partial charges and partial refunds that have to stay traceable.

What we do

How this is handled

Retry logic on recurring failures

A declined renewal is retried on a schedule tuned to when issuers actually approve, rather than immediately and pointlessly.

UPI AutoPay and e-mandate

Mandate-backed recurring collection that follows Indian rules rather than working around them.

Reason codes on every decline

Distinguish "card expired" from "insufficient funds" so dunning emails say something useful.

Exportable revenue ledger

Custom date ranges and per-transaction detail for the finance close.

Questions

SaaS, answered

Do you support recurring payments?

Yes, through card mandates, UPI AutoPay and e-mandate. Which combination fits depends on your ticket size and customer mix.

How do you reduce involuntary churn?

Failed renewals are retried on a schedule rather than once, and each failure returns a reason code so your dunning can be specific. Recovering a card-expired customer is a different message from recovering an insufficient-funds one.

Can I collect from customers outside India?

Cross-border collection requires additional authorisation and is assessed case by case. Tell us the corridors and volumes and we will tell you what is possible.
